Privacy Policy

Demo build: Seiyr is currently in development. Matches, payments, and accounts are simulated. This document describes the policies that will apply when the live product launches.

Seiyr is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your rights over it.

Information we collect

Account data: your email address, username, and password hash when you register.
Profile data: your display name, avatar colour, and country of residence.
Transaction data: coin purchases, entry fees, prize payouts, and withdrawal requests.
Usage data: pages visited, arenas joined, picks submitted, and timestamps of these events.
Device & technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and session tokens.
Identity verification data (KYC): government ID documents and liveness checks submitted to our verification partner before withdrawal.

How we use your information

To provide and improve the Seiyr platform, including live scoring, leaderboards, and prize payouts.
To verify your identity and age (18+) before allowing withdrawals.
To detect and prevent fraud, money laundering, and abuse.
To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, arena settlement).
To comply with applicable laws, including anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.

Legal bases for processing

Contract performance: we process data necessary to operate your account and deliver services you've requested.
Legal obligation: we retain certain records as required by financial services and AML regulations.
Legitimate interests: fraud detection, platform security, and improving our services.
Consent: for marketing communications (you can withdraw consent at any time).

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (payment processors, identity verification, cloud infrastructure), and only to the extent necessary.
We may disclose data to regulators, law enforcement, or courts when legally required.
If Seiyr is acquired or merges with another entity, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with notice provided to you.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and for up to 5 years after closure, as required by financial regulations.
KYC documents are retained for the period required by applicable AML law (typically 5 years from the end of the business relationship).
You may request deletion of non-legally-required data at any time by contacting support@seiyr.app.

Your rights

Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Erasure: ask us to delete data we no longer need (subject to legal retention obligations).
Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Cookies & tracking

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and preference cookies to remember your theme and notification settings.
We use analytics to understand how the platform is used and improve it. Analytics data is anonymised before processing.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+.
Access to production systems is restricted and logged.
We conduct regular security reviews and penetration tests.
